Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

Can you please post a prayer request for me? My mom’s working to recover from the physical effects of an ongoing illness. She’s emotionally and physically spent and still too atrophied to take care of herself. I know she needs a lot of prayer to lift her up.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul, and spirit through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for her.

Another reader writes:

A good and helpful neighbor of many years is dying of cancer and went into hospice care today. Please not only pray for a peaceful death.

Father, hear our prayer that he have the grace of a happy death and find eternal light and rest in you through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

My son writes:

Pray for the two victims of an attack at my apartment building last night.

Father, hear our prayer for the repose of the soul of the girl who died, and grant complete healing to the other victim. Bring those who did this to justice and forgive their sins through Christ our Lord. Give healing, grace, peace and strength to those who love the victims and help those who are close to their killers turn to you for hope. Mother Mary, pray for all concerned. And keep my son safe in that neighborhood. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
