Prayer Requests

A reader who is currently separated from her husband would like prayers for her marriage:

I particularly appreciate prayers that God would touch and heal the heart and mind of my husband, and that I find the strength and peace I need to live according to God’s will no matter what the future holds.

Father, hear and grant her prayer through your Son Jesus Christ our Lord. St. Joseph and Mother Mary, pray for this family’s complete healing.

Another reader writes:

Could you ask your readers to pray that my husband will find a good job? He has been unemployed since January and time is running out. He has had a few interviews but nothing has panned out! I am worried though trying to keep my peace which I am finding it increasingly difficult. My husband doesn’t have the greatest people skills or savvy he needs in this economy but he is a good man. Please pray that God will inspire him with what to do because I certainly can’t badger him. And please pray that a new job can pay better and have better benefits so that I can stay home full time with our little boy. Thank you!

Father, hear our prayer that this family’s needs will all be met swiftly through your Son Jesus Christ. St. Joseph and Mother Mary, pray for them!

Another reader writes:

The 13 year old daughter of our very, very dear friends was hit by a dump truck getting off the bus this afternoon. She was airlifted to a Toronto (Ontario) hospital, breathing on her own and with a heartbeat, but is still in critical condition. We don’t know any more than that. We are shattered, and beg as many prayers as we can for a miracle for Lydia. Lord Jesus, hear our prayers.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul, and spirit; for grace, skill, wisdom and compassion for her caregivers; and for grace, strength, and peace for all who love her. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for all concerned. We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Please pray for a friend of mine who has left the Church. She was a new convert and didn’t have a strong religious network except with some people practicing some form of New Age, which she seems to have embraced.

Father, grant that your people would reach out to her in love, find out what she seeks, and help her to find it in your Son Jesus, who is the true source of our happiness. Mother Mary, pray for her and those whom God will place in her life, that they bring your love and not their condemnation.
