Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Could you please post a request for a friend of the family. Her daughter was just admitted into the hospital for a drug overdose – no word on her condition. This has been a long tormenting problem for the entire family and they could really use tons of prayers to battle this relentless demon.

Father, hear our prayer for this young woman that she would receive–and exercise–the grace to resist this temptation, to resolve to get clean, and to do it. Break the power of anything demonic in her life in the name and authority of Jesus Christ. Protect her from all further demonic assaults, help her body, mind and soul derive life from you and surround her with the love and support of her friends and loved one empowered by your love and grace that she may in time, be a sacrament of grace to others. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Dymphna, pray for her. We ask all this through Christ our Lord.
