Prayer Requests January 7, 2013

A reader writes:

Please, if you could, pray for my grandparents again. My grandfather is undergoing chemotherapy and is feeling awful. He’s now staying in the hospital because he can’t eat or even drink anything. My grandmother’s poor eyesight has made it difficult for her to take care of everything around the house, though thankfully she’s blessed with a very kind neighbor.

Thank you very much for your prayers.

Father, bring swift healing and relief for this man and all who love him through Christ our Lord. Give his caregivers wisdom, skill, and compassion and help his wife to manage with the help of those who care for her. Give grace, peace, strength and consolation to all who love them. Mother Mary, St. Luke, St. Lucy, and St. Peregrine, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

Our assistant Pastor, Fr. Augustine, is having heart surgery today. If you could put in a prayer request for him, we’d appreciate it. He’s a wonderful priest with a heart for ministry and helping encourage people in the Faith. He’s been a blessing to us over the last few years. Thanks for the help.

Father, grant Fr. Augustine complete healing and swift recovery through Christ our Lord. Give his caregivers skill, wisdom and compass9ion. Give grace, peace, strength and consolation to all who love him. Mother Mary, St. Augustine and St. Luke, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
