Catholic and Enjoying It!
A reader writes:
Our eldest child, 13 years old, was found dead yesterday morning in his bed. Doctors have not yet determined the cause of death. My wife and I, and his 4 younger siblings, are still in shock and in so much pain Right before we went to bed, he and I prayed the joyful mysteries. We’re certain he’s in heaven. Please pray for his mother and siblings.
I am *so* sorry to hear this! May God our Father receive your son into the light of his Presence and grant him everlasting joy in heaven. May you and your family be strengthened and consoled with the peace of Christ in this dark hour and may you find the grace to endure and grow in Christ in this terrible sorrow. May Our Lady of Sorrow pray for you and may Christ crucified bear away the terrible anguish you feel and give you light and peace. We ask all this through Christ our Lord.
