Prayer Requests March 7, 2013

A reader writes:

I have good news with a prayer request:

The time has finally come for me to cross the Pacific on an epic three-part mission to your fine country, I’m visiting a certain beautiful and holy lady I met on CatholicMatch to further discern a future together, then it’s off to a Monastery to work with their Chant book publishers, and part three is to attend my best friend’s Wedding.
If your holy minions could be so kind as to offer some prayers for the success of this trip I will be most grateful! This journey dwarfs all other journeys I’ve ever made.
Thanks!

Father, grant full success to your son’s adventures through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for him and all who love him.

We just buried my grandfather today, so I’d appreciate your prayers for the family. I’m also waiting on decisions from the grad school programs I applied to, so some prayers on my behalf wouldn’t hurt, either. Thanks!

Father, grant eternal rest to this man’s grandfather and peace and consolation to his family. Also, help him get the graduate education he needs in order to do your work in the world. Mother Mary, St. Joseph and St. Thomas, pray for him and all those he loves. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!

Another reader writes:

Please pray for Sam, a 13 year old boy at our school who has a brain tumor. He has finished radiation treatments, and is now getting ready to begin a very aggressive course of chemotherapy. Please pray for healing for him, as well as the courage and faith to endure this suffering.

Father, hear our prayer for Sam’s complete healing and for the grace and courage to endure this suffering in union with Christ crucified and risen. Give grace, skill, compassion, knowledge and wisdom to his caregivers and grace, peace and strength to all who love him. Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them all.
