I wanted to send along a prayer request for a friend of mine. She’s my son’s Godmother, and one of those people who isn’t afraid to love God in a passionate and uncritical way. However, lately it seems like lately she has been losing her faith, not because of any real disagreement with what the church *actually* teaches, but as a result of uncritically taking in a lot of the nonsense “about” the church that gets thrown around on Facebook and what passes for journalism.
Father, grant that your daughter will be able to discern the voice of the Good Shepherd and distinguish it from the wolves and liars of this world. Help her to remain in communion with you in the Eucharist and in Holy Church. Give her the grace to persevere toward your light in Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, St. Paul, and St. Thomas, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I found out recently that I’m getting laid off and my last day will be the 29th (Good Friday, sheesh). I suffer and indulge in the sin of Sloth, and I’m a bit worried that the lack of structure will send me into a vicious cycle. Hopefully I can find something to be productive at soon.
Father, as you close this door open a window and help this person find work swiftly and do it to the glory of your Name. we ask this thtrough Chirist our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for him!
