Prayer Request

Prayer Request April 3, 2013

A reader writes:

I am an adult confirmation candidate, a convert from Protestantism. I have attended Mass since the beginning of 2012, I have followed Church discipline as much as I know it, and I believe and profess all that the Holy Catholic Church teaches, etc. By virtue of not actually being Catholic, I have only been able to watch and pray as others receive Communion.

The Lord willing, that will change this Saturday, as I am confirmed by the bishop. The Lord willing, I say, because I have become unsure in recent days. Please pray for me.

Father, give your servant the gifts of faith, hope, and love and help him to trust and obey Jesus Christ.  If he is uncertain, give him the grace to know he is under  no compulsion and can take his time.  Bring him in your peace to the Church.  Mother Mary and St. Paul, pray for him.  We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
