A reader writes:
Prayer request: I have been Catholic for 6 years, I came from a non-religious background filled with drug addicts and occultists. I don’t have strong Catholic friendships and the parish is pushing me aside despite my attempts to get involved. I am married to a former Catholic and have 5 children, one who is an insulin dependent diabetic. I am exhausted and isolated and I have no help. Please pray for me and my family.
Father, hear our prayer that your daughter be provided the friendships and relationships she needs in order to live as your child and as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Grant provision for her family as well, especially her diabetic child. And grant the grace of renewed faith and discipleship to her husband. Mother Mary, St. Joseph, St. Luke, Sts. Perpetua and Felicity, pray for her and all whom she loves. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Also, a reader writes who has been struggling with depression, asking for prayer that she would find effective medication. Father, hear her prayer, and help her to deal with the needs of her husband and children and them to deal with hers. Provide what she needs financially and medically through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and Sts. Luke and Dymphna, pray for her.
Finally, a reader asks for prayer for a young woman who is engaging in some seriously self-destructive behavior and wishes to be reconciled with God but is afraid. Father, hear our prayer that she break with her self-destructive choices, come to confession and make a firm choice to turn to you each day and obey you as a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. Mother Mary, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
