Prayer Request

Prayer Request 2014-12-29T22:54:11-07:00

A reader writes:

I hope you had a wonderful Father’s Day. I am writing to ask for your prayers.

My oldest daughter has been in the hospital since Friday. Both girls came down with pneumonia last week and now The eldest has complications of a collapsed lung and mucus plugs. It’s been a challenge because the pneumonia itself is responding to meds and treatment. Her fever is gone and she looks great. However, her lung is still stuck shut with mucus that won’t budge. They amped up the treatment yesterday. If things don’t resolve, we’ll be going to the hospital where she’ll be scoped and they will get it out that way.

My youngest is doing well  and trying to deal with Mom and sis not being home.

Im hanging in aside from fighting the thoughts that this is all my fault because of my horrible past that I am now being punished. Ridiculous right?  So I’m writing to everyone I know to ask for prayers.

Father, we ask that your name be glorified by healing this girl completely in body, soul, and spirit, and we ask that her caregivers by given grace, understanding, wisdom, skill, knowledge, and compassion to treat her.  We ask you would give grace, peace, strength, faith, hope and love to all who love her.  And remind my reader of yesterday’s gospel and the woman whose sins were forgiven.  Guardian angel, fight against the evil spirit that would lie to her about that mercy and forgiveness.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for all concerned.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen!
