Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I’m sad to report that my former teacher, for whom I asked for prayers a few weeks ago, passed away on Wednesday after a year long battle with cancer. The happy news is that he was surrounded by family and apparently without pain in his final few days. Please pray for the repose of his soul and for his grieving family, and for all those whose lives he touched.

Father, hear our prayer. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. May all who love him and mourn him find grace, peace, strength, faith, hope, and love. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
