A reader writes:
I have a relative who was baptized in the Church of England as an infant but was very hostile to religion. She died of cancer on Sunday. I would like to ask for prayers for her soul. Although she was an unbeliever, she was a good woman who rose to the challenges of a rather difficult life with good humor and courage.
Father, by the mercy of Jesus Christ, grant her grace and peace and final penitence that she may, in the end, see your face and know your love. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners and all those most in need of Christ’s mercy.
