Prayer Request

A reader writes:

I am asking you to pray for repose of the soul of Rebecca, a former student from my school, who committed suicide yesterday at the age of 12 after being cruelly bullied for a year and a half.  Pray also for her family, who are devastated by this horrible loss that they may find comfort and peace.  I ask you to also pray for those who were bullying her, that they may repent of their actions, that they will learn to act with love and mercy rather than cruelty and spitefulness, and that they may find healing and forgiveness for what they have done.

Father, hear our prayer for this girl, bring her into the light of your presence, forgive her sin, and fill her with your love for her through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, cover her  with your mantle and wipe every tear from her eyes. Strengthen and console those who love her and give them the grace to forgive all who need forgiveness. Forgive the sins of those who hounded her to death and grant them complete repentance and forgiveness.  We ask all this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
