Thank you, all, for your prayers, and please continue. My cousin’s surgery has been split into two sessions. The first session happened yesterday and took nearly 8 hours. No word yet on whether the biopsy has revealed the tumor to be benign or malignant. It is/was over 3 inches in diameter, which is why the surgeons decided to take multiple days to remove it, lest the change in pressure be too dramatic. Somehow they know that it was slow-growing, and they estimate that she has had it for over 10 years.

My cousin is in good spirits, I have been told, but her parents, understandably, are having a harder time. Her head is actually partially open right now, as they expect to operate again tomorrow. If swelling is too great, they will postpone until Thursday. This second half is a little more sensitive than the first.

Father, hear our prayers for her ongoing healing through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for her. Amen.

Can I please request prayers for an online friend from a game guild I used to be a part of. I found out that he had a severe asthma attack on Saturday and went into cardiac arrest — his heart was stopped for 5 minutes. They do not yet know the extent of brain damage because he has not yet regained consciousness (as of sometime yesterday). As was posted to the game guild: “For those who believe in prayer, he could certainly use some.” I’m pretty sure he has at least one young child, so his family could use some too.

Father, hear our prayer for his complete healing in body, soul, and spirit. Give his caregivers grace, compassion, knowledge, skill, and the proper technology to help in the healing process. Give all who love him grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope and love. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for him. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
