Prayer Request

A reader writes:

Please ask my fellow readers for prayers for a young couple whose child, J., died soon after birth, as a result of an infection. It is the first child of this couple, and they are ion their late 30s. Please ask the Lord for comfort and strength, and for them to turn to Him for hope and love. And also for the child, so that God receives him.

Father, grant eternal life to this child and comfort and strength to his parents and all who love him. Mother Mary, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. We ask this through Jesus our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

Please ask your readers to pray for Deacon Joe, he is in the hospital with pancreatitis, and very ill. He is self-employed and has nine children still at home, so a speedy and full recovery is needed.
