Prayer Requests

Please pray for Mom as she enters her final weeks and days here on earth that she will have the grace of a happy death.

In addition, a reader writes:

Just found out the wife is pregnant with baby number two! We are very excited, and we know we are doing God’s will. However our financial situation is total crap. So, some prayers for encouragement would be wonderful.

Father, thank you for this new human being! Grant that my reader may find a good job at a living wage and that this family will be a fine domestic Church. St. Joseph and Mother Mary, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes to ask our continue prayers for the Lewis family, who lost two of their three beautiful girls in a car accident. Pray for the parents, Sean and Becca and, in particular, for the surviving daughter Vivian who is only 4 and who must cope with this trauma somehow.

Father, hear our prayer for their healing and consolation, and especially for Vivian’s healing and consolation by the grace of the Holy Spirit, through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, Mother of Sorrows, pray for them.

Another reader writes to ask prayers for Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church and for human beings deeply damaged by the familial and social wreckage he leaves behind him.

Father, hear our prayer for forgiveness for this wretched man. Give him, not what he deserves, but the mercy of Jesus Christ who died for him. Heal the damage he has inflicted on those around him and grant them the grace to forgive him and to repair the great harm he has done so many suffering people.

Finally, please pray for the two people killed and the one badly burned in the helicopter crash here in Seattle yesterday.

Father, grant the dead eternal rest, the injured swift healing, and them and all who love them grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope, and love. St. Joseph and Mother Mary, pray for them. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
