Recently I heard, secondhand, about a woman who was raising a few of her nephews and other relatives as though they were her own kids. One night, one nephew came home drunk, so she read him the riot act. The next day, at work, she got the news that the he had been found dead. Would you and your readers please pray for the repose of his soul and for his grieving family?
Father, hear our prayer through your Son Jesus Christ! Mother Mary, pray for them!

This is not an urgent message, but my best friend’s sister and brother in law just lost their nearly new log home to fire on Sunday morning. They escaped unharmed because somebody happened to be camping in the nature park behind their home (a thing that does not happen very often), saw the flames at 1:30 in the morning, banged on the front door and they just had the time to open the door, grab their grandson who was sleeping on the living-room couch and run across the street when there was a big explosion (something to do with a propane tank used to heat part of the property). Thanks to the Lord for bringing a stranger to the park just on the right week-end and saving their lives. But they also need prayers, it is of course quite a shock to lose everything that way, even if they had insurance.
Father, thank you for saving their lives. Grant that they are able to rebuild with your help and the help of your people through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary, pray for them. Amen!
