Fellow Patheosi Frank Weathers writes:

Prayers please, for my nephew Jonah (in So Cal). He’s 13, and has been admitted to the hospital with lots of problems stemming from a condition that is not allowing his body to fight off infections. He has deterioration of intestinal walls, no GA antibodies being produced (?), ulcers in his stomach and mouth. It seems dire, and a very big cross across the shoulders of a family whose father has M.S., and is currently unemployed.

Thanks for your assistance.

Father, hear our prayer for the complete healing of this family in body, soul, and spirit through your Son Jesus Christ.  Grant their caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, counsel, understanding, skill and the proper technology to assist in that healing,  Give them and all who love them grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope, and love.  Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for them!

Also please pray for a friend whose wife is post-operative and whose children have both been diagnosed with highly infectious and drug-resistant staph infections.

If you wouldn’t mind, would you please ask your readers to remember me in their prayers?  I’ve been suffering increasingly severe abdominal pains for a couple of months now.  Tests have all come back normal, so the good news is that there doesn’t seem to be anything life threatening.  There aremore tests to come since a diagnosis is elusive, but, I’m now in near constant pain or discomfort.  I’d appreciate any prayers you or your readers could offer on my behalf.

Praise report from a reader:

Little Allie’s surgery went very well. Large abscess in neck was drained. Finally started responding to the antibiotics. After a week at Children’s she is now home. Thanks for the prayers and thank God for the great health care professionals at Children’s Hospital in Seattle. They are a blessing to our region.

Thanks be to God through our Lord Jesus Christ!  And thanks to you guys for praying for her!

Reader Lint Hatcher writes:

My wife, Susan, has a pretty frightening eye problem (a “macular hole”) and we are seeking the intercession of G.K. Chesterton not only for Susan’s sake, but for the sake of GKC’s cause for sainthood.

Father, hear our prayer for Susan’s complete healing in body, soul, and spirit through your Son Jesus Christ.  Grant her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, knowledge, counsel, understanding, skill and the proper technology to assist in that healing,  Give her and all who love her grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope, and love.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, St. Lucy, and G.K. Chesterton, pray for them!
