    I wouldn’t call this “backing down”, since she goes on implying they are going to subpoena SOMETHING. This is more like the “mistakes were made” routine…. somehow it happened, but WE didn’t do anything.

    The LGBT groups are much better at politics than anyone else… good luck with that. Plus, who would they vote in?

    I think she’s term limited – so no voting her out. But this was to be her “legacy”.

    FYI, Russell Moore of the Southern Baptist Convention made a great suggestion here: http://www.russellmoore.com/2014/10/16/why-not-just-hand-the-sermons-over/

    To wit: while the pastors being bullied should tell her to jump in a lake, every other pastor in the country, not under subpoena, should inundate her with sermons.

    I think it’s a great idea.
