Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

May I ask you to share a prayer request? I have been unemployed for 6 months and have almost run out of unemployment funds and savings. I am a single mom (not by choice) and do not receive the support I need from my ex-husband. We need financial provision and spiritual encouragement. My son has been diagnosed with High Functioning Autism, AKA Aspergers. Thank you so much!!

Father, hear our prayer for this woman and her son that she would find work and her financial needs be met for her and her son. Convert her husband’s heart, we pray. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Another reader writes:

Please pray for our daughter A. She is very much on our hearts now. She has been told that, even although they have removed her appendix, she is still in pretty bad shape. They say they will have to remove her gall bladder. Her liver is not good. All this is from heavy drinking, since (she tells us, although we did not know it) about the age of 13 or 14. She is now 32.
I have started praying daily to St Agnes (A’s Confirmation patron), Ste Thérèse of Lisieux, and Mother Adele Garnier, for:
– A’s deep conversion and return to the Church and the Sacraments
– A’s healing from the inordinate desire for alcohol (she tells us that she is now ‘dry’ since the beginning of November)
– A miracle of bodily healing for the damage done to her, if it be God’s will
