A reader writes:

I’m going to be laid off on Friday, and have been working for four months to find another job. While I’ve had a number of promising leads, but nothing has come through yet. I am under consideration for a few jobs, but have already lost out on two positions.

I am so ashamed about losing my job and absolutely terrified that something won’t come through. Please ask your readers to pray for me, my wife, and our young daughter. I am so scared, and I must be brave and have peace of mind if I am to find the next job.

Father, hear our prayer for this man that he can find work at a living wage swiftly. Lift from his heart the lie of shame that comes from Satan and remind him that his worth comes from his dignity as a human being, not a human doing. Allay his fears, give him peace, and provide for their needs. Give him the grace to trust in you love for him and his family through Christ our Lord. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for them.

Another reader writes:

Recently I emailed you about my cousin who has a tumor in her stomach. It is cancerous and it has spread to her intestine. She is undergoing chemotherapy and the doctors are saying they might have to remove her stomach. She had a baby just 4 months ago. Please continue praying.

Father, hear our prayer for her complete healing in body, soul, and spirit.  Give her caregivers grace, compassion, wisdom, counsel, knowledge, understanding, skill, creativity, insight, and the proper technology to assist in her healing.  Give her and all who love her grace, peace, strength, consolation, faith, hope and love.  Help  her return to her family who need her.  Mother Mary, St. Luke, and St. Peregrine, pray for them.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

In addition, I would like to ask youse guys to pray for somebody dear to us who is struggling financially now and under great stress. Also, we would appreciate prayers for our financial situation, which is under strain due to various forces. Thanks, folks!
