Scholars and Writers for America Declare Support for Trump September 30, 2016

The collapse of conservative Christianity continues apace as the elites bow down.

Meanwhile, the lowbrows bring out the Big Solid Lie, “All Catholics have a grave moral obligation to vote in this election and vote for the only viable opposition to Hillary Clinton and her anti-Catholic agenda for the country: Donald Trump.” in *direct* contradiction to the teaching of the Church.

No. You don’t. And you are not in mortal sin if you end up voting for Hillary to stop this, the most dangerous human being ever put within reach of the White House. As Benedict 16 said, “When a Catholic does not share a candidate’s stand in favour of abortion and/or euthanasia, but votes for that candidate for other reasons, it is considered remote material cooperation, which can be permitted in the presence of proportionate reasons.”

The attempt to muscle people into voting for Trump with the threat of hell is yet one more sign of an intellectually bankrupt right.

And, by the way, the same applies for Trump voters. Declaring them to be in mortal sin merely because they vote for Trump is ridiculous.
