Senator Jeff Sessions defends Sex Predator

Senator Jeff Sessions defends Sex Predator October 12, 2016

He’s spinning to beat the band, but the only two things you need to remember are:

From the Weekly Standard:

SESSIONS: This was very improper language, and (Trump has) acknowledged that.

TWS: But beyond the language, would you characterize the behavior described in that (video) as sexual assault if that behavior actually took place?

SESSIONS: I don’t characterize that as sexual assault. I think that’s a stretch. I don’t know what he meant—

TWS: So if you grab a woman by the genitals, that’s not sexual assault?

SESSIONS: I don’t know. It’s not clear that he—how that would occur.

and

“This thing is overblown. Everybody knows that Trump likes women,” Sessions said. “This is not a disqualifying event.”

Remember that, ladies:  Sexual assault is not a disqualifying event.  All that stuff conservatives said back in the 90s was a huge lie.

Me:  I still think it’s disqualifying.  But then the Trump Right has made clear that Trump really could shoot people in the middle of Fifth Avenue and they would still vote for him.

George Will is absolutely correct:

Trump is a marvelously efficient acid bath, stripping away his supporters’ surfaces, exposing their skeletal essences. Consider Mike Pence, a favorite of what Republicans devoutly praise as America’s “faith community.” Some of its representatives, their crucifixes glittering in the television lights, are still earnestly explaining the urgency of giving to Trump, who agreed that his daughter is “a piece of ass,” the task of improving America’s coarsened culture.

Because Pence looks relatively presidential when standing next to Trump — talk about defining adequacy down — some Republicans want Trump to slink away, allowing Pence to float to the top of the ticket and represent Republicanism resurrected. This idea ignores a pertinent point: Pence is standing next to Trump.

People who have bent over for Trump and signed their pathetic letters of endorsement and commitments of support keep shrieking about the harm Hillary will do to the Church.

Blind guides.

The “faithful conservative prolife” Christians–Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox–who have prostituted themselves to defend to the last gasp a pro-abort, draft-dodging, lying sex predator have done more to harm the Church then a thousand Hillary Clintons.  And should persecution come, the response of many, who might have been saved had they encountered the gospel and not the filthy politicized freak show of Christian conservatism, will be not “Surely, this was a righteous man!” but “Good riddance to bad rubbish.”

Meanwhile, there remains a real gospel of Jesus Christ and a real One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church.  And you can still find many Catholics who still believe it and are not spitting on the Holy Father and bowing down to the Golden Ass.  Listen to Her and not to the diabolical parody of the gospel that has taken over Trumpkinized Christianity.
