Mark, please share this prayer request through any social media or blog. I was part of the Catholic blogosphere many years ago under the name Mephibosheth and the blog “And Also with You.” I was moved by Simcha’s recent news because we are going through the exact same experience. My mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s for some 18 months now, and she has been able to remain home with my father under home health. However sometime this month she suffered a massive stroke. Because of the combined conditions, she is not a candidate for rehab. She will be leaving hospital directly for a nursing home, possibly as early as today. Your prayers, and those of your followers, greatly appreciated.
Father, hear our prayer for this woman, her husband, my reader and all who love them, as well as all who struggle to do the right thing for those with this condition. Christ crucified and Mother Mary, be with them all in this difficult hour. Remind them that their lives are made for glory and that after this brief time, there will be joy and peace. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
