The American electorate is divided between the 2/3 who live in reality and the 1/3 whom I call the People of the Lie: wilfully deluded suckers immovably convinced of every lie their Dear Leader and the Right Wing Noise Machine feeds them. People inflexibly committed to evaluating all truth claims, not on the basis of their correspondence to reality, but simply and solely on the basis of who said them.

Unfortunately for them, reality has sharp, painful spikes that pierce bubbles and the time will come when they will have to deal with that fact whether they like it or not. Trump’s wealth will always cocoon him from fully experiencing the consequences of his action. But his deluded fanboi will get the full blast and he will abandon them to their fate as he has always done with those he uses and discards.
