The Cult of Trump tries to gin up a pogrom

As we saw the other day, Trump buys the right wing anti-semitic tropes that American Jews are all supposed to be “loyal” to the Netanyahu regime and that his support for that regime means he is the rightful owner of American Jewish votes. Therefore, when they refuse to support him because he is a racist anti-semite, they are “disloyal” not only to Israel (which he secretly regards as their “real” country, not America) but to him personally.

So here’s the thing: When you have a messianic President who regards American Jews as disloyal and perfidious and who cannot understand why they return “ingratitude” after he supports their true country of Israel, you should be very afraid when he starts talking about repealing Birthright citizenship. Somebody will claim “He can’t do that. It’s in the Constitution!”

Correction: it’s in the Constitution if SCOTUS says it is after he issues an Executive order aimed at enabling him to start rounding up citizens he deems unworthy of citizenship and civil rights. But SCOTUS is stacked with conservatives who have already shown themselves willing to let him get away with other outrages. We have no certitude they will not let him get away with this. And since, as his favorite President, Andrew Jackson, once observed, “The Chief Justice has made his decision. Now let him enforce it” there is no guarantee he will obey the court whatever it finds. He has, after all, a Justice Department that has not only shown it is willing to help him obstruct justice, but is also willing to extend a warm welcome to anti-semites.

Meanwhile, this Mob Boss has already made clear, again and again, that his absolute #1 priority is loyalty.

If he decides to punish that “disloyalty” in American Jews, more than refugees could wind up in his overcrowded concentration camps. His eagerness to repeal birthright citizenship is simply another way of saying he wants to expand roundups and arrests and deportation to American citizens, something he made clear when he called for “sending back” four American citizens for the crime of being brown and American and “disloyal” to him. Expanding that to include other “disloyal, foreign elements” is not beyond him. He is crazy and evil. Only Christianists like Robert Jeffress, court prophet of this racist cult, are too blind to see that, because like Trump, they are the same weird combination of pro-Israeli anti-semite, ready to call down the curse of God on Jews who “disloyally” vote against his “King of Israel” and “Second Coming of God”:

Jeffress made his over-the-top anti-Semitic remarks while making an appearance on Todd Starnes’ Fox News radio show. The two conservative Christians were trying to justify Trump’s recent claims that Jews who vote for Democrats are disloyal, and criticizing Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders for declaring:

I am a proud Jewish person, and I have no concerns about voting Democratic. And in fact, I intend to vote for a Jewish man to become the next president of the United States.

Jeffress told Starnes:

And the question he (Trump) is raising about how can American Jews support Democrats who support people like [Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib], despicable representatives of our country who are antisemitic to the core, how can Jewish Americans support that?

Jeffress continued:

It makes no sense for those Jewish Americans not to support a president and a party that stands for Israel like Donald J. Trump does…

Jeffress added:

… I mean it’s obvious Bernie Sanders is completely illiterate when it comes to what the Old Testament teaches about Israel.

Jeffress concluded:

You know, God said to Abraham in Genesis 12, “I will bless those who bless you and your descendants and I will curse those who curse you and your descendants.”

The danger is not, of course, that God will curse the Jews for voting Democrat.  It is that the Vanilla ISIS white racist terrorists who are our #1 domestic terror threat will hear the Stochastic Terrorist-in-Chief and his court prophet’s call to violence and start the vengeful pogrom they urge on–particularly if the Mob Boss decides their “disloyalty” merits an Executive Order which, in his delusional mind, strips them of the Birthright citizenship the Constitution guarantees, but which he hates.
