C.S. Lewis reads The Four Loves

This is very cool.  One of the few remaining recordings of Lewis’ voice (sounding a bit like Hitchcock) and reading from one of his best books.

His non-fiction is not as well known these days as his fiction, particularly The Chronicles of Narnia. I recently re-read his Till We Have Faces, which is, to my mind, his finest piece of fiction. It would be difficult to adapt it to film, especially in a way that a post-modern audience could comprehend. But I’d be glad if somebody did it. Just so long as they don’t wreck it.
