I have no idea, so I’ll ask 2014-12-31T14:28:05-07:00

My friend Steve Ray, when he’s not busy making his globe-trotting Footprints of God videos, maintaining his mammoth Defenders of the Catholic Faith website, and doing many other good works, also hosts tours of the Holy Land and other places. He just recently did one with the Amazing Shrinking Priest, Fr. Shane Tharp and I am guessing a good time was had by all.

(By the way, happy gratitudes to Fr. Tharp for inspiring me in my own journey down the weight scale. I have yet to match his losses of poundingtons, but I did just break the “under 290 lbs” score and am closing in on 280, which will constitute a loss of about 55 lbs when I get there, hopefully with the help of the Lenten Swearing Off of Chocolate. My goal is to see how far down I can go, then stay there.

You may ask how I maintain my status as a Jolly American. Let me explain it this way: “Shut up.” How dare you try to impose your bourgeois temperanormative categories on me. Within my ever-thinning frame is a fat guy longing to get out. I am whatever I feel myself to be and the task of all mankind is to approve of whatever I happen to desire.)

But I digress.

So anyway, Steve writes me and asks:

Thought I’d check with you if you’d ever be interested in going on a pilgrimage. Do you think you could recruit 40+ people?

I have no idea. So I’ll ask youse guys: Are there 40+ of you who’d be interested on making a pilgrimage to the Holy Land? If so, let me know and I will pass the info on to Steve. I’ve never done anything like this, but it would be an adventure!
