A reader writes:
Would you and your readers please pray for a friend of mine? She is depressed and suffering from low self-esteem and even entertains thoughts of suicide some times. Please pray that she feels the love of God, that she stops feeling so bad about herself and accepts who she is – a daughter of God, and someone whom her friends love and care about – and that she be given the strength to go through the next few months safely. She’s abroad for a few months and the idea of her being alone in this kind of mood, in the middle of winter is very worrisome.
Father, hear our prayer that your daughter come to see and receive your love and that she received the grace and strength to choose to offer you praise and thanks for the goodness that is her life. Hear the prayers of those who love her and give her unexpected grace in her journeys so that she can embrace life joyfully. Mother Mary, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen!
