My friend Sheila writes to ask prayer again:
Could you, once again, ask your readers for some prayer? Our housing situation is quite challenging right now as the owner of our rental house has put the house up for sale and wants us to vacate in 30 days. We need to find a place to live that will be willing to work with my poor credit and rent being paid late in the past. I am in the midst of starting to pay off some of the bills, but it’s going to take a while with just starting a part time job. I don’t think it will be reflecting on my credit score any time soon. I really don’t want the kids to be having to move from place to place and would like to avoid transitional housing, if we can. I think it would be not only hard on all of us, but especially for our youngest, who has autism.
I already have St. Vincents to help us with some of the costs of getting a new place, but I don’t know how much, perhaps the deposit and last month’s rent? It’s discouraging to be paying for an application only to be not approved.
The Lord is blessing us abundantly in so many ways with folks offering to help us with the move so we won’t need to rent a truck and an elderly couple at our parish offered to buy all the kids school supplies. We simply need a place to live and then, to plan for a smooth move while school is starting. I know the Lord is faithful and am doing all I can on my end. So, any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
Father, hear her prayer and provide her and her family with housing swiftly. Mother Mary and St. Joseph, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Also I would like to ask for prayer. We have a number of friends with very serious health issues. It is, of course, most hard for them, but it’s also tough on Jan, who has a heart as big as all outdoors. Thanks.
