We stopped trying to get bin Laden eons ago. We’ve started trying to integrate the Taliban back into the failed narcostate we are propping up with blood and treasure. So… why are we asking our exhausted and valiant troops, who have been so badly used by our Ruling Classes, to keep on suffering for our experiment in nation-building? The principal victories against al-Quaida have been through police work. Meanwhile, we send weary troops back for third tours. To what end?
