Upcoming stuff:
Tonight, if you live in Western Washington, you have two options.
1. You can come and join me for my “Introduction to Scripture” class that I’ve been teaching at St. Mark’s parish in Shoreline at 7:00.
2. You can toddle on down to Seattle Pacific University and join the Seattle Chesterton Society meeting to hear about Pope Benedict and Dante on Love in the Modern World.
If I were me, I’d go to the Chesterton thing. But that’s just me. (Wait! I *am* me and I’m going to where I’ll be speaking! Now I’m confused.)
By the way, I’ll also teach at St. Mark’s on May 14. That will be the last in the series for this year, but hopefully I’ll be back next year. Stay tuned!
Other stuff:
I’ll be on “Catholic Answers Live” the following dates to talk about Mary, Mother of the Son:
Monday, May 4th “Mary: Modern Myths and Ancient Truth”
Monday, June 8th “Mary: First Guardian of the Faith”
Monday, July 6th “Mary: Miracles, Devotion, and Motherhood”
June 13, I will be in the teeming metropolis of Twisp, WA for an all day conference at St. Genevieve parish. We’ll be talking about such things as:
11:00-12:00 “101 Reasons Not to be Catholic”
12:20-2:00 “Making Sense Out of Scripture”
3:00-4:00 “Care & Feeding of the Lay Apostle”
followed, at 4pm, by Confession and, at 5pm, by Mass.
Then, I will make the haj out to MD/VA/DC. The schedule is still being firmed up, but so far I have three solid dates:
June 24 7:00 PM. St. John Neumann parish, Gaithersburg, MD. Topic How I Got This Way. Contact: Eric Sammons.
June 25 8:00 PM Holy Trinity Parish, Gainesville, VA. Topic: How the Eucharist Made Me a Catholic. Contact: Laraine Bennett.
June 26-27 Christendom College Summer Institute, Front Royal, VA. Topic: St. Paul, Evangelization, and Apologetics.
If you want to have me come and speak for you while I’m in the area, please drop me a line and we’ll figure out the details.
