…so often strikes me as a dumb guy’s idea of a smart guy. Case in point:
He has a knack for explaining tech and is a useful servant of a technocracy seeking to breed mechadroids in the hatchery for servicing the Machine. But his clumsy efforts at suppressing the human urge to ask Higher Questions that threaten the function of the Machine with those pesky Eternal Longings are always embarrassing.
