I enjoy your articles and books. I have a question for you. I am currently taking deaconate formation classes and have been teaching a Bible study at my parish for 6 years now (yes I am a convert). I previously tried to use the New Jerome’s biblical commentary but found many teachings that worried me in orthodoxy so I stopped. I did more research and found that the authors/editors had played big and honored roles during V2 but later were... Read more

Ouch. The New York Times takes a slightly bemused look at the Convention of Napoleon Dynamites with a Mean Streak as they deliberate on just how big a jerk each of them should be in the public square. On the bright side, she can communicate and is lucid enough to get jokes, which is a good sign. Also, she has feeling and,... Read more

The invaluable Mike Flynn offers education to materialist technicians who, yet again, attempt the absurd project of persuading you to freely accept the notion that you have no freedom of the will. I think anybody who has chosen to make themselves that stupid is probably, apart from a work of grace, too stupid to see Flynn’s point. But it’s a special kind of stupid, born not in the intellect but, ironically, in the will. People will go very far in... Read more
