Any editorial or interview in which somebody establishes their bona fides to comment on Catholic teaching which begins, “I was raised Catholic…” will immediately proceed to that person emitting a farrago of ignorant nonsense. Case in point: This guy who says it is a “sin” for the Church to advocate for traditional marriage. Read more

I have just posted a substantial bit from a letter sent by a very-sympathetic-to-Catholicism-Christian who lives in the Muslim world. He addresses his letter to Pope Benedict and suggests three ways that Catholics in the west and the Muslim world could help Muslims who are drawn to Christ and exploring the Catholic faith. One of the many ironies involved is that Catholic priests tend to send Muslims who request baptism to the evangelicals! I think your readers would like to... Read more

whom I had the honor of hanging with in DC sometime back, has a new book out that promises to be nearly as wonderful as he is. Who is Jesus Christ? Unlocking the Mystery in the Gospel of Matthew Christ’s contemporaries ascribed to him many names and titles, as we see recorded in the New Testament. Each one tells us something different about who Jesus is. With references from Church Fathers, the saints and Doctors of the Church, Sammons unlocks... Read more

Thankfully however Sky News – a satellite broadcaster very popular in the UK and Ireland – had wall to wall coverage. And to be honest, the TV was off when the Pope took off! A Methodist neighbour of my... Read more
