Treasures from the Treasure Chest

Catholic University’s Archives have done a great service by providing copies of The Treasure Chest online. This comic book, in existence from 1946 to 1972, is a great resource for understanding and appreciating our collective Catholic past. There are so many great snippets I want to share, so I’ve decided to add “Treasures from the Chest” as an ongoing feature of McNamara’s Blog, along with baseball photos (a seasonal thing), anecdotes and daily quotes. Here’s one from the 1950’s regarding baptism. Check out the Indiana Jones character talking to the missionary. (The priests in these comics always seem to have Reed Richards hair!)
