Gran Torino isn’t the kind of movie you want to watch with your kids, but it’s probably the most positive depiction of the priesthood I’ve seen on screen in a long, long time. Without giving too much away, the young priest in the movie (played by Christopher Carley) ultimately becomes the conscience of the movie. This is a far cry from the usual negative depictions of the priesthood that are all too common nowadays. It’s worth a look!
