Paul Elie’s The Life You Save May Be Your Own is a great multi-biography of four Catholic authors: Dorothy Day, Thomas Merton, Walker Percy, and Flannery O’Connor. It’s one of the best books I’ve read in quite a few years. It’s pretty thick, but if you’re interested in the subject, you’ll go through it pretty quickly.
