Pope Paul VI Restores Permanent Diaconate

Today is a special day for permanent deaons, because on this day in 1967 Pope Paul VI issued the motu proprio Sacrum Diaconatus Ordinem, subtitled a “General Norms for Restoring the Permanent Diaconate in the Latin Church.”
