The Resurrection a Return to the Father

The Resurrection triumphantly declares the Father has and never will forsake nor desert us. As the Son came into the world lived and died, so like Him, we live and die also, but not without hope. As Jesus ascended on the third day to the Father by the Spirit, we shall also return with Him by that same Spirit to the lover of our souls.

The Resurrection makes obsolete the Kingdom of death as it replaces all things lifeless and dead in our lives with the promise of renewal and new beginnings. Our hearts look with silent expectancy for the return to the Father by releasing and abandoning our fears over and over entrusting ourselves to Christ, the Eternal Now of perfect love.

The apostle Paul shares in Philippians he leaves everything behind to press beyond the present and pursue the destiny of an ever new beginning that is without end in Christ.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14
