I apologize, but due to the influx of questions I receive it usually takes me several weeks to get back to people with a response. I know it’s difficult to spill your guts like you did and then have to wait such a long time. There’s just so much I can do. Very quickly, it is unrealistic for you or your husband to expect you to “get over” the type of abusive behavior/ infidelity you describe being victim to. Healing takes time and so trust needs to be re-earned. This happens over time and with actions that continually back trust up. Working on your self-esteem will be paramount to your success regardless of how the status of your marriage remains. I would highly encourage beginning therapy with someone you feel comfortable and safe with.
