After speaking with one of my colleagues about yesterday’s post, here are some added thoughts:
- You would want to go to your pediatrician and rule out any chance of a urinary tract infection.
- You would want to rule out the possibility of any sexual abuse having happened (I mention this in the post I linked to, but not in what I specifically wrote yesterday).
- Due to your son’s age, it is somewhat concerning that he hasn’t as of yet picked up on social cues that this is not behavior we do in public (even “at home” public). It may warrant a visit with a child psychologist to rule out any type of anxiety issue, social developmental issues, etc.
