INTRODUCING: The New iPhone 21s

INTRODUCING: The New iPhone 21s October 19, 2016

Every year, a new iPhone is released. And every year, people complain about it. They complain that nothing about the phone has really improved; that Apple is charging an obscene amount for almost the same product; that consumers are being taken advantage of, and shouldn’t just mindlessly keep buying these products to “keep up.”

Yet many of those same people place pre-orders, stand in long lines, and spend money they don’t have, in order to get the new iPhone. There’s a reason new versions of this product keep being produced, and keep selling well.

We want change. We want improvement and excitement. Anything but boredom or stagnancy.

So why is it that, even with the release of a new iPhone every single year, people still get bored? And if they know they’ll get tired of their phone so quickly, why do they keep spending huge sums of money on a new version of the same product?

It’s because we’re seeking something that we just can’t buy in this world, no matter how much money we spend. What we need is infinite. And this world just can’t hold that.

“…You will have whatever you desire, and in it you will have all that you request.” (41:31)

What we need is Paradise. And the currency for getting the treasures it holds is not the dollar, pound, or rupee, but good deeds. So we’d better start saving up!

It’s because we’re seeking something that we just can’t buy in this world, no matter how much money we spend. What we need is infinite. And this world just can’t hold that.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Allah has said: I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no heart has conceived. So recite if you wish: No person knows what is kept hidden for them of delights of the eye as a reward for what they used to do (32:17).” [Tirmidhi]

“…The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.” (3:185)
