2. Giving Back
Helping others (such as through donations or volunteer work) have been shown to reduce stress, depression, and blood pressure, and increase self-esteem and general happiness. And of course, there is the religious benefit of earning good deeds and closeness to God as well.
“Those who believe and do righteous deeds — those are the companions of Paradise; they will live there forever.” [Qur’an 2:82]
