Mark Driscoll has said, “I cannot worship a guy I can beat up.” Recently he asks in a post, Is God a Pacifist?, and the answer is, well, in a nutshell, no! Jesus is not a pansy or a pacifist. So don’t mess with him. Merritt’s post Mark Driscoll’s Pansy Post Outrages Christian Pacifists is a good survey of the bloody battlefield.

I guess I have to go back and read the gospels again. I got it all wrong.
