Solving Food Insecurity

Solving Food Insecurity

How to create change series

Food insecurity is a growing problem. It may get worse with economic changes and reductions in government programs. Every year, 3.5 million workers and their families face homelessness due to business changes. Eventually, most find new jobs, but the interim period is inhumane. It can happen to any of us. Ways to help those in need are essential. There are ways.

This non-profit business addresses the food side of the equation, using a self-supporting business model that gives free or discounted food to those in need. Using my business experience and failure testing, it’s designed to work even at 50% of target.

Next week, I’ll publish a very detailed and soundly researched plan to adjust our government, democracy, and capitalism to end the pervasive nightmares we’ve faced for over a century. The goal is to make them work for all, making everyone and every company more prosperous without leaving people out.

My emphasis is practical spirituality. In this, spiritual ideals are served in the real world. These are the kinds of things Christians do to show our love for others.

Reference verse:

 What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can [a]that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and be filled,” and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.” – James 2:14-17 (NASB)

Conclusion

“Looking at the state of the world today, it can feel as if humanity is spiraling down an inevitable path of self-destruction. But appearances can be deceiving. There is nothing in the appearance of a caterpillar that tells you it is going to become a butterfly.”

I believe this is a time of transition and we will make the world what we want.

Concluding Challenge

Do what you can every day to change the world. Little things count the most.

Our answer is God; God’s answer is us;

Together we make the world better.
