3. Every generation matters. In the pursuit of everything modern, contemporary churches can easily cast off an entire generation of people. The older generation is the one most commonly associated with traditional churches, and modern churches can write off an entire segment of society if they’re not careful. Just as modern churches can look down their noses at traditional churches, younger generations can easily look down their noses at older generations as old-fashioned and irrelevant. These churches do so at their peril. There is a richness of spiritual maturity in the older generation that today’s young adults desperately need.
