It’s Springtime, which means brightly colored green buds and colorful Easter Baskets. Today I’m sharing my knit coffee cozy in a Basketweave pattern.
This is such an easy pattern to knit, just working in equal rows of knits and purls. Here’s a sample pattern I found on the web:
- Row 1 (RS) Knit.
- Rows 2-6 *K4, p4; rep from * to end.
- Row 7 Knit.
- Rows 8-12 *P4, k4; rep from * to end.
- Rep rows 1-12.
This green cozy is knit in a 5 X 5 pattern.
I stitched one end together and added a braided cord on the other end to tie around the mug handle.
It looks rather handsome in charcoal gray for men.
I have knit another one is a soft cream.
Oops – there’s a missed stitch in the pic below, but it doesn’t take away from the beauty.
You can also weave the ends together to have a cozy that wraps around a to go cup or water bottle. I added a fabric flower that I purchased at Hobby Lobby.
Try your own today – such an easy pattern with a remarkable result!
Check out my other cozies!
