I love milkglass.
I mean, really love milkglass.
I mean, really, really love milkglass.
I’m like a moth to the flame when I see it. When I go junkin’, my spidey senses tingle all over when my eye catches that creamy white.
I thought I had seen it all until I stumbled across these adorable, itty-bitty jars.
Aren’t they the cutest things you’ve ever seen?!
So what are they?
They are vintage medicine, lotion, or makeup jars from elegant ladies from long ago. And they are as cute as can be! Their shapes are so unique and different and swoony!
It’s like they call out to me, saying, “Jen, bring me home!”
So with my growing collection, I wanted to create something that would showcase their beauty.
I found this silver tray years ago at the local Goodwill in Nevada.
After a bit of sleuthing, I learned that the tray is over 100 years old.
I got it for a couple of bucks! SCORE!
I was out and about and stumbled across these cute, mini faux succulents and knew exactly where they needed to go!
Now, here’s where I get all fancy, schmancy and tell you what I stuffed into my tiny jars to hold the succulents in place.
Y’all, I used packing peanuts!!
I tried a few other items, but they were either too big, or colored, which shows through the milk glass.
I simply stuffed the tiny jars with peanuts and trimmed the succulents to fit and that’s it!
Just look at the finished tray of loveliness!
It’s such a simple way to showcase pieces that you collect and love and for cheap, too!
Do you have a collection sitting in a glass case just waiting to be displayed in a unique way?
I would love to hear what you collect and how you display your collections. Leave me a comment below with a link so I can see what makes you swoon!
