Texas Wildfire Update

The situation with Texas Wildfires has yet to improve. My current assignment is to the Rock house fire which continues to defy our efforts to bring it under control. The fire is currently over 114,000 acres and growing.

The incident Management Team I am with is also staffing the entire west Texas area. We have two new fires to manage one at 99,000 acres and one at 70,000 acres. These fires bring to 8 the number of large fires we are managing.

We received bad news today that one firefighter died and two were critically burned in a “burn over” yesterday. May the Goddess comfort their families and all honor their sacrifice in service to their communities.
